Paolo Pettene   Team   Office

Paolo Pettene, born in Verona in 1952, after graduating in Architecture at the Politecnico of Turin moves to Rome, where he did his apprenticeship at the Firm of architect Annibale Vitellozzi (designer of the Foro Italico facilities for the Olympic Games in Rome in 1960 and of the Palazzo dello Sport Italia ’61 in Turin), thus deepening and increasing his knowledge of the rules of Sports architectonic design.
Thanks to this professional specialization, he can merge into his work – design and construction management of sports facilities – the passion for sports that he had previously actively experienced at agonistic level through soccer and athletics.
He has been advisor for the Sports facility Committee of the regional (Piedmontese) CONI (National Olympic Committee), he is technical advisor for sports for the province of Turin, judge for the Italian Swimmers Federation, professor at the Politecnico di Torino for the course of Sports Engineering. He is a frequent speaker for specialist meeting and contributes with thematic magazines. The Firm SdiA, which he owns, has a long, very specialized experience, coming from designing and managing more than 300 projects on sports facilities, about one hundred of which are swimming pools. The Firm has in its portfolio more significant projects, such as sports halls, multi-purpose pavilions, soccer facilities with natural and synthetic turf.
